NoJoMo 1 **myrtle beach
OK, i think I’ll try this….
we’ll see how it goes..
me
I know, that earlier "entry" was pretty lame. ok, a LOT lame.. so here’s a better one..
In April, of course, I get a spring break. It’s also, of course, a different week than Charles and the girls get off, because Buffalo follows a different schedule and as much as i HATE that, there is nothing I can do about it..
So, i’m planning a vacation (maybe) anyway. i will take the girls out of school for it.. (i know, BAD, bad mommy.. oh well, they will suffer through missing 1 week of kindergarten/first grade to play on the beach.. ) and charles should be able to get off of work for it.. (we hope)
So, although, i was thinking of visiting Nashville and seeing the girls’ stepsisters in Kentucky, i think we are going to put that plan on hold for…
dun, dun, da, duuuunnnnnnnnnn…
MYRTLE BEACH!!!!
close enough to drive (since plane fare would increase the cost of the trip by a LOT) but far enough for warm weather and the BEACH!
Soooooo…
Those of you nearby there, or who have traveled there before/often..
give me suggestions on where to stay… ( the girls and I want fun in the sun, Charlie wants some fun on the golf course)
thanks all..
What a fun trip!

ryn: Texas doesn’t have any testing for homeschoolers, nor do you have to officially register. (Louisiana does require registration, but I cannot remember if they require testing… I dont think so, but I could be wrong. We moved when I was doing “prek” with M.)

RYN: about ending one’s relationship with one’s son. Point taken – and good advice. Thanks.

RYN: TFO = The fair One… She’s the best looking one of us both. I always thought she was a cute girl and before we were even thinking of a relationship I gave her that nickname. 🙂

Def stay in NORTH myrtle….otherwise you’ll be with the crazy college crowd. We used to stay at a place called Springs Towers, they are full-size condos, we loved it there!

Ryn: We don’t get those either- don’t trust it. The chemicals found in those things are nasty. We’ve read up on them.
