long day.

Nothing too exciting to report today. Maybe i’ll do bullets again, since I feel like my eyes are going to fall out of my head…

woke up this morning
hung around for a bit
packed another box or two
showered
decided to check out the block sale (tons of garage sales) going on just a few minutes away.
bought two ginormous wall shelves, they are unfinished wood so I’ll have to decide what to do with them.. paint or stain, depending on where I decide to put them.
also bought the girls a HUGE playhut playset. It has 3 "tents"and 2 tunnels, and one of the little huts is actually a ball pit, it also came with about 200 balls! for $20!! I haven’t shown the kids yet. I think i’m going to pull it out tomorrow, that should occupy the little buggers while i’m trying to pack.. lol!
it’s ~~kinda~~ exactly like this one.. my girls are going to be super excited!!

After the garage sales I picked up Dave’s check.. he got a bonus we didn’t expect! yeah!
I went and bought a pair of Mary Jane CROCs.. LOVE EM! I have wierd feet so if I find something that is comfortable, I buy them, because it is rare. These I really love.
Came home
packed a quick picnic lunch and Dave and I took the girls on a little "picnic" to our favorite park.. We brought our cooler and picnic basket and set up on a blanket. We had sandwiches, SunChips, watermelon, and macaroni salad.
The kids looooved it!!
then they played on the playground and in the sandbox at the park..
lots of fun..
now i am completely and utterly exhausted! Dave is giving the kids a bath, then they’re off to bed and i am going to follow..

Sounds like you had a nice day! I had a ball pit for Gracie when she was younger, she loved it! Her favorite thing to do was to toss the balls out one at a time and have me pick them up and throw them back in, LOL 🙂

Just a completely random FYI: If you stain, make sure you do a clearcoat. I did that once and didn’t do an clearcoat. I put a metal tub on the shelf and it scratched. My grandpa THEN told me I needed a clearcoat. So… Yeah…. Learn from my mistake! 😉

That play thing looks cool! I definatly would have had a blast with that when I was little. When I was little..I loved eating outside..even if it was just on the porch..it was like a big thrill or something..I can remember we lived in this apartment with these big tall set of steps..I’d take my chicken noodle soup out there..and sit on one step..facing the other step..and use that as a table..so that my legs were sticking through the steps and danging in mid air..I thought I was so cool..lol
