Christmas recap

This last week has been both crazy.. and well, boring.

Christmas Eve was great.  In the morning we had all 4 kids (Maya & Paige & Charles’ 2 girls – Alyssa and Hailey).  We went to brunch at Chuck’s brother’s house.  It was so nice, we got to spend time together and i got to get to know his family a bit better.  I was made to feel perfectly at home and comfortable.  After the brunch we dropped Alyssa and Hailey off at their mother’s house.

 we went home for a bit, then to my sister’s house for our annual family Christmas eve.  It was.. well, ok.  I enjoyed being there with my family, but a few people seemed a little "wierd" towards charles.(namely my uncle barry). oh well though, they’ll get used to it he isn’t going anywhere.

then we went home to get the girlies ready for bed.  they sprinkled their reindeer food outside, left their cookies and milk out for santa, and then they were out like lights.  then we put together the Rose Petal Cottage and the few accessories i bought, put out the presents and went to bed ourselves.

In the morning I got the girls up around seven.. LOL! I couldn’t wait!  Then we opened gifts, had breakfast (gingerbread pancakes, YUM!) and got the girls ready.  Dave came over around 12 and took the kids to my grandparents house until 230.  During that time, it was SO Fun. Charles and I hung out in our jammies, had Chex mix and played games.. we broke out the girls’ new operation game which was much easier than it was when i was a kid, and our TV version Scene It game.

After that we got dressed, and got ready to go to my sister’s house for dinner and hanging out.  We had a blast together!  Then we bundled up  the kids and went to look at lights on the way home.  We also stumbled upon the living nativity at a local church so we stopped there as well. We got home, had hot coco, put the girls to bed and settled in together to watch A Christmas Carol.

It was a wonderful Christmas.
