Until further notice…

When I can get some time to change the stupid fonts/layouts etc I will, but for now I’ll make the font huge to help you out instead 😀

So… I emptied my closet yesterday down to the bare bones and took out every single thing thats too big. That left me with exactly 1/4 of my hanging clothes :(. I can’t even describe the sinking feeling in my heart as I added them one by one to the baskets sitting on the floor. Any plus sized girl that’s bought a club top at Torrid knows their base price is $38, so there’s thousands of dollars sitting in those baskets. Mostly it hurts my heart a bit because I don’t know when I’ll be able to buy nicer things, and it’s so hard to know I don’t even have a single pair of black dress pants right now because anything I wear to go out in is just going to be too big in 2 months, so I’ve been mainly sticking to sweats and the like. Any encouragement in this area would help out SEVERELY. I’m mostly scared of the age old ‘nothing to wear’ and it’s true! Spend all this time working on a new body, only to want to stay home instead of going out because nothing fits right and you don’t feel good about yourself after you’ve lost FIFTY lbs! ERGH.

Moving right along… it’s a big deal and scares me to get rid of everything, but I’ve got a plus-sized friend whose prego so I’m hoping she can put a lot of this stuff to good use and give it to good will when she pops out the babies, or more likely after she loses the baby weight.

Semester ends in two weeks and I’m terrified, and should get off here soon to start working on schoolwork for that reason! But until I do…

I guess I don’t have as much to say as I thought I did, more later in the week I suppose?

I’d suggest checking out your local thrift shops. You can find some really nice things there sometimes. It just takes a little looking.

Perhaps with some of the clothing you could mend it? Like sew it to a smaller size. I’ve done this throughout the years. You can do it creativly or conservativly. Also if you are in a quick fix for clothes try a second hand shop. Once again you’ll have to be creative. I’ve found some very sweet outfits at these shops! Good luck! And great job losing fifty lbs!

Thrift stores and Goodwill are really good for cheap clothes, and you can sometimes find some really really good ones there too. I also like the idea that SweeterYet came up with… a lot of things can be easily mended or taken in. Grats on the weight loss! I really need to seriously think about doing something to get myself down too.

Think of it as a POSITIVE THING! you’ve done an amazing job – would you rather be 50lbs heavier and have a fuller wardrobe? Just save your money until you reach your ultimate goal weight and treat yourself to some nice pieces then 🙂

You haven’t updated for such a long time!! I hate getting rid of clothes too. If clothes get too big I normally try to belt dresses in to make it look like it fits. It’s when dresses get too small when I have real issues!! xx

My closet is lacking too–I’m not buying since I just had a baby so comfy workout/lounge wear it is! ryn: maybe you can answer another q about the bugaboo–can you leave the infant in the set when you take it out of the frame? I would think that would be why its designed the way it is. I wouldn’t pay 800 for one but I couldnt resist when I found one in perfect condition for almost 200. the buyer is having a hard time letting go though and its made me think hard about it since it folds like it does.
