This ain’t a fairytale

I think Taylor Swift is the hottest thing on the market right now. What DOESNT that girl have? Well, besides an STD and sex tape like every other female star under 25. I had a minor meltdown when I found out she wasn’t coming to Denver on her new tour. No seriously. TWO dates in effing Louisiana and not a single one in beautiful CO? Boo, hiss. I’m still sad. I could’ve borrowed some family friend’s kid under 13 so it looked like I was a nice big sis doing a favor instead of a 22 year old in love with cheesy pop country songs. Hidden in my recently played is ALSO a lot of Sugarland, ahhhhh I need to go to Missouri fair stat!

I miss home-town. It’s miserable this time of year, what with all the ice storms and freezing rain and various unpleasantries that come with a humid winter. But damnit, I REALLY want some Patke’s peppermint ice cream and time with people my daddy knew grewing up.

It’s almost only a week until I get my babycakes! The name pool is as follows:

1. Bruiser
2. Nugget
3. Bastian
4. Hoggle
5. Toby
6. Bulldozer
7. Diesel
8. Wickett

I think number 3 is coming on strong because both of my babies can say "Bash" which is close enough and cute. And though nugget is my personal fav, that can always be a middle name. All of my dogs have had a first, middle, and then my last name. Riley anne? She’s my lab boxer mix muffin. If you were child of the 80’s, you’ll recognize most of these names from my weirdass favorite childhood movies- Bastian from Neverending story, Hoggle and Toby from Labyrinth (sister forbids use of Sir Didymous, she wants that name in her pool), Wicket from Ewoks, and so on and so forth. I looked for one in Willow, but they’re all BAD. Except Madmardigan, and that’s far too long for such a small dog. We’re waiting to see his personality really come out to see what we really want to name him. EEEEE! I had weird taste in movies for a girl who’d turn out so girly and enthralled with things like the Notebook and 10 things I hate about you, I suppose. I’m actually bidding on an ewoks DVD on ebay right now because the VHS my parents ripped off TV in the 80s skips now. Blech..

Today’s random picture curtesy of my Prince C, who I watched for over a year from the time he was 2 months old, and still see periodically. I adore him and his family, He’s just the most awesome photogenic scheming baby to ever grace my presence. We spent a lot of time swimming and learning skills like sitting up independantly and his first word- Doggy. Adore him!

I don’t know how to work this pc feature just yet, because this is a REALLY high-def pic and it looks all gross here, but that’s fine. He’s super cute and I was having a good-I-wish-my-hair-were-longer day. And he LOVES my phone. </p
