Mothers

I don’t have a mom technically, so Mother’s day is kind of uneventful around here. I used to get cards for my Pops on MD since he fills both roles, but…now I can’t with stepmonster in the picture and all, since I wouldn’t DREAM of getting something for her. Blech. Long story short is that my MD plans consist of breakfast at SIX am w the fam, and then….work at 6. I get to bring Nugget with me to work though because the mom really likes letting her kiddo play with him and he had a really good time w Nug last time, so YAY. I wanna go out fo Cinco de Mayo downtown but Gaby’s being GAY.

One of my best friends from childhood lives in Louisiana now. They were super close like that ‘sister’ relationship some mother daughters have because her mom was doing her whole second youth thing when we were like 13/14/15 and I was all straight-edged cop’s daughter…so I was always like ew…. don’t smoke near me, what have you. Long story short, she still parties and now I do too and shes in town tonight and we are TOTALLY going out tonight! Hopefully. We’ll see. I want to.

I’m here at work for a few hours so the Dad could take the Mom out as a surprise for her very first Mother’s Day, isn’t that sweet?! I got here at 4 and the baby is STILL asleep and it’s 7:20… and they should be home in just about an hour. SWEETASS. I’m sitting in the room w him playing solitaire, painting my toenails, you name it. And he’s just snoring and tooting to beat the band! Days like this, my job is awesome. I haven’t worked out yet today because I was planning on doing a DVD workout here…but can’t be thudding around like an elephant while little precious dozes, so…tiptoes it is. Maybe once I get home? Blech.
