home base

I’m home! I went to California on Thursday at 330 am (!!!) and then got home this past Monday afternoon. I’ve been working since, falling back into the groove.

Now the important part-i LOVED California!! I got there Thursday afternoon and went to long beach which was icky and over cast, so we kept walking and ended up at seal beach playing in the sand and small waves. That was my first beach day ever! We walked a total of 8 miles and took the bus home, had dinner together and it was great. Friday the youngins went off to school and B and I went to Huntington beach for the afternoon. SO fun. We got in the water and I let waves cover my head and everything. We tried to nap on the sand and never fell asleep, but the backs of my knees and asscheeks got FRIED! Now my legs NEVER tan so while I was applying sunscreen everywhere else, they didn’t get it. Oh man. It was so funny. I was planning on heading to a gay bar that night and I warned everyone that NO one better slap my ass tonight or I’d kill them. Even just walking hurt, bad.

Friday night I loaded all the kids in the van and took them to pick up my friend Chris who lives outside fullerton, and he came back and spent the weekend w us. Saturday chris, the kids and I all went to bolsa chica beach and hung out there but it was COLD. Then we went to in and out AGAIN and to the park, then for frozen yogurt. Went home and just hung out, and a few hours later the boys and I went to long beach really late and saw grunions flopping all over the beach, it looked SO cool! Sunday we went to church and then took Chris home and went to an angels game! It was great, we won. Then we picked up D and went to seal beach for an hour or so, my last beach! we hung out and were laid back Sunday, and in the am got all the kids to school, showered, and left for the airport. Id be SO heartbroken over leaving if it weren’t for the fact that Monday am she bought me a ticket to come back!! In 4 weeks, I’m off to California again! I’m SO excited. It just worked out that the baby I nanny will be outta town the weekend of the 4th, so I’m goin out instead of stayin home alone for 5 days! Eeee! So excited. More later!
