Prada Boots and Louboutin shoes!

Ok,  so its fall and its wardrobe seasons and I am falling in love with the latest shoes that are coming in!

So to lead off I am infatuated with this new Prada boot that looks like a shoe but its a boot with a shoe on the outside that is trying not to look like a boot!  its so damn clever!  How frickin cool to attach a mary jane to the outside of a suede boot!

The boot I am hot on atm is a boot by Louboutin,  thas the guy that puts red lacquer on the bottom of all his shoes its really his trademark!

Boutin is more known for his pumps which I now correctly call FMP’s!!! LOLOLOL

Boring Side note:  (although this year it was struck down as trademark infringement so that any shoe designer is welcome to stick red lacquer on the bottom of their shoes, though any self respecting designer wouldn’t dare to do so,  you can bet we will see tons of Chinese knockoffs flooding the outlets this fall,  not that patent infringement ever stopped the counterfeiters anyways)

Its interesting to see the correlation of the fashion industry to the overall economy and moods and attitudes,  the runways have been quite sedate this year,  the newest class of designers seem to be showing fluff and more fluff for the spring/summer seasons coming this year,  nothing but frisky florals and very boring…I suspect a pretty lame year in fashion,  ehh

everyone go out and and recycle last years stuff,  add a short military cap,  and earth-tone sweater, sew some patches on the elbows and you will be head of the pack!!  cut the heels off your overtall boots from last year and sew a swag of cartridge webbing or a saddle leather and you have the new look bam!!

If you knock an inch off an 4" heel, the boot tilts backward and give the boot an aggressive stance (plus its more comfortable) any shoe repair guy can do that for ya.  plus they can sew the band around the top…

To my mind a slightly more militaristic/severe cut is the look this year and next,  sort of the fashionable rebel army surviving the cataclysm you might say….

Imagine if you will a horde of 5th avenue chicks having to survive the apocalypse,  still trying to be fashionable,  ie the odd piece of really sharp upscale jewelry/couture combined with the street savy rags that helped them survive!

Think Prada boots with a messenger bag full of ammunition and canceled Saks cards…and maybe a Tiffany bracelet to match!  Heh a Tiffany lock necklace combined with bandaliers, now that is hot!!!

Maybe I am projecting my boyhood fantasies a little much here,  but ehh!  what to do?  what to do?

I am going to buy a horse made of driftwood….i must find it….

wishing yoou all the best!
