Starbucks Boy
I could have sat inside. But I didn’t.
I sat outside, because I noticed you outside.
You looked over at me as I walked out, but I didn’t let myself catch your eyes, I just looked away.
And I sat at the next table, two feet away from you.
I put my back to you, because I didn’t want to have to watch you ignore me.
But I wanted to be close enough that you had no excuse.
I wanted you to be unable to keep your eyes off me, the way the wind was blowing through my hair and the way the setting sun kissed my cheeks, I wanted you to think to yourself – “She is so fucking beautiful, I would give anything to make her mine.” I wanted you to want me.
At least you acknowledged me?
…an hour later. As you left.
(I hate you)
She’s gorgeous. A hundred times more than I am.
I don’t know if there’s anything between you two, but if there were, I wouldn’t blame you.
