When I complain to you that I’m fat.
I don’t mean for you to actually believe that I think I’m fat.
I mean for you to reassure me that I am thin.
I know I am not fat. What I don’t know is that I am thin.
Thin enough.
Maybe you don’t see the difference, but this isn’t about fatness at all. It’s about thinness.
I want my bones.
And I want to know they’re there by knowing that you know they’re there.
