Coping Mechanisms and Control

They say the problem is that my only coping mechanism is cutting.
I beg to differ.
Because if I can’t cut, I just stop eating.
You take away one coping mechanism, I feel controlled, so I replace it with something else, something you can’t control.

There is logic to it. Not much common sense, but logic.

However, in a way I guess that’s allowing them to control me after all. Because their moves determine my moves…but, at the same time, my moves determined their moves. So really, we symbiotically control eachother.
…I started it though.

So, technically, I am the one in control.
Right?
