Non Sequitur

Editor’s Note: A friend of mine requested that we all write a blurb about ourselves so she can get to know all of her followers. I have few followers that I know of and she already knows plenty about me, but I will oblige if only to show that I do read her entries even if I don’t leave notes.(and maybe interesting enough to actually attract followers, although that’s a long shot, LOL). Therefore this entry does not fit my linear story line that I’ve been writing.

Parents; both alive, still married, they live in Florida like all other old people

Siblings: 2 brothers, both live in upstate NY. Both got married and divorced in under 6 months. Now have kids with the new women in their life

Fashion; About to come into style again, I hope
Living: Bought my parent’s house off of them so they could move to Florida and live pretty well. I however live in a money pit.

Longest relationship; 7 years with 4+ of them married to my wife.

Guilty pleasures; The Joe Schmo Show, Pawn Stars and Storage Wars

I would describe myself as: mostly quiet at first, but very social after feeling more comfortable or have a drink in me., I’m a people-pleaser, I can’t say no to people. For years, I just thought of myself as the best friend type and not the boy friend type and accepted that role. That is why I’m still friends with all the girls we hung out with instead of hooking up and all my other friends feel awkward at reunions. I’m a bit of a geek, I like trivia, classic rock, hockey and baseball.

Best personality trait; Good listener, and I have a way to make people feel good about themselves.

Worst personality trait; Too easy going, don’t make me choose (a place to eat, a movie, I’m fine with anything)

 

Women I Love.. My wife. Quirky women, women who can laugh at themselves. My history shows I like red heads, though I claim to like blondes and yet one of my biggest crushes was jet black hair. Girls with a sense of humor, hands down.

Places I’ve been; Driven across the United States several times, once in a figure 8 (New York South to Florida, West to Austin, Texas, North to Montana, West to San Francisco, CA,  South to Tijuana, Mexico, West to Tempe, Arizona, Up to the Grand Canyon, Around the Grand Canyon to Denver, Colorado.) Been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Lived in Europe for a month, mostly in Spain, but visited Paris, Portugal, and Morocco in North Africa. Yearly vacation up to Vermont with occasional trips as far north as Maine.

Places on my to-go list: Caribbean, England

 

Quirks: I’m a collector. If someone gets me one of a set, I need to get the others. It’s hard to just throw something away when I know someone else out there can use it.

I do ‘antics’, little rituals for comedic value to the point of annoyance that come and go in a rotation or for a limited time only. (i.e fake paper cutting co-workers with pieces of paper or pinching my wife’s butt and blaming it on an intruder.)

 

I don’t smoke, I drink micro Brews, (never Budweiser) and wine, seldom hard liquor unless a mixed drink or a toast.
