Wednesday 10/4/23

7:53a.m. I just finished a great breakfast. I had toast, bacon and eggs. Coffee was hot and and got me going. I was sleeping in my wheelchair but breakfast and coffee perked me right up.

I feel pretty good this morning. I slept well and didn’t have nightmares or weird dreams. I went to sleep around nine . I slept until the aides woke me up for the day at 4:30. As usual I slept in my wheelchair until they served breakfast and coffee 

So I’m above the dirt. I’m off to a good start. I feel pretty good. Today is going to be a much better day than yesterday. Life is good

12:58p.m. I made it to the coffee social. I was reading my book Black House until I got very depressed. Something bad is about to happen to a couple favorite characters. That damned story made me depressed and I couldn’t read any further. Lunch cheered me up though. They served chicken, sweet potatoes, mixed veggies cornbread and pears. It was delicious but the cornbread was too dry. 

I’m back in my room now. I’m going to try and pick up where I left off. 

4:16p.m. This is turning out to be a very good day. I spent an enjoyable afternoon reading Black House I only have about seven more chapters and I’ll be finished with it. I also talked with Chococolatechip on the phone . We talked for the ?longest to e about different subjects. Talking to her always!makes me feel good.

I do not know what to read next. Black House sort of ties in with Stephen King’s Dark Tower series . I read these seven books before but once is never enough. Black House sort of got me hooked again I might just start re reading these books.  But I got a John Grisham short story lined up This is an equally appealing prospect. I think I’ll hit Grisham next then the Dark Tower series. I best stick with the program.

I’m having macaroni and cheese for supper tonight. Actually, their Mac and cheese is pretty good. Best part is I’m having ice cream for dessert Although I had a big lunch I’m looking forward to supper, especially the ice cream. Then I’ll talk with Chocolatechip until she goes to bed and after that read.

6:19p.m I ate my Mac and cheese. I am bloated now. I had double portions for lunch and supper. I wish they wouldn’t give me double portions. I can’t eat it all and it just makes me sick. No wonder I’m fat. I weighed 242 last time they checked. I like to think of it as relaxed muscles.

I will  have a good time reading Black House. I think I can figure out the ending. Jack Sawyer and the cops know the identity of the Fisherman. But they have to get to the other worldly force behind the human monster. Will Jack be able to end this monster and rescue Tyler Marshall? The answer to these questions will be revealed in the next seven chapters. 

I had such a good day today. I hate to see it end. But I will have a good evening reading my book. Goodnight
