Thursday 8/31/23

10:51a.m. I am very tired and sleepy. I wask up most of the night lying in urine. I wasn’t changed until the aides came to get me out of bed.  Since I was so tired I slept in my wheelchair for the longest time. I was up for breakfast then promptly went back to sleep. I’m up for good now thanks to a second cup of coffee at the social. 

I did talk with Chococolatechip. It seemed somebody tried to get in her apartment two different times last night. First time was around 5:30 and the second time around midnight. She was also very sick with diarrhea. She ordered from Dominos yesterday and ate too much pizza. So her night didn’t go very well either.

Chococolatechip is going to be very busy. this weekend. Her sister Elaine is coming up from Wheeling Sunday. They are planning a shopping trip to Walmart and Dollar General  Then they will have lunch at Bob Evans. So she has to get ready by doing a ton of laundry today and tomorrow.  

We were also talking about Eddie the Moocher. This one other tenant was helping him out like Chococolatechip was. He stopped. Eddie threatened to kick the tenant’s ass. They told Kim. He might be evicted. We think Eddie might be the one trying get in her apartment. Chococolatechip is going to document the incident and turn it in to George.

Well just finished my second cup of coffee. I’m fully awake now. Im above the dirt and feeling good.  I’m going to do a little reading in my book America’s Unwritten Constitution The Precedents and Principles We Live By by Akhil Reed Amar I still have to finish Chapter 9

12:47p.m. I’m back in my room. I had a good time at the Coffee Social. I drank a lot of coffee and that perked me up.  I also did a little reading . I read until they served lunch. Lunch was delicious. I had Sicilian roast beef with gravy, great beans, creamed potatoes a dinner roll and jello for dessert. Then I had a very embarrassing incontinence episode I wheeled myself back to my room.

I would be having a good day except I haven’t been changed since I got up around five. I had a few episodes and I’m soaked . They are taking care of lunch trays now . I will have to wait at least for a couple of hours. So I’m a little pissed right now. I’m beyond pissed. I’m one miserable fat old fart. 

I talked with Chococolatechip  when I got back. She was folding laundry. Chococolatechip said she wrote a letter about last night’s incident and turned it into Kim. It sure does seem like she is being stalked. I talked briefly about the Social. She also said the letter from Social Security hasn’t arrived yet. I said you need to get Betty Jo to take you to the office. She said it might come Friday or Saturday. After that Chococola2:11echip went back to folding her laundry.

I’m very sore down slow because of dried urine It hurts like hell.Also the Hoyer pad is hurting my butt. I need to get my riefs changed and get in bed. But that will not happen anytime soon. If I’m lucky I might get taken care of in an hour. Care in this place sucks sometimes. 

2:11p.m. I am in bed now. I had to go to the nurse’s station and raise hell. I said I haven’t been changed all day! I want changed and put in bed now! They told me to go back to my room. I did and soon the very nice aide came in with the Hoyer. She put me to bed, put cream on my sores and changed my briefs

She was very nice and apologized for keeping me waiting. I said you take good care of me. I wasn’t mad at you. I’m sure you would not like to sit in urine and feces all day. I apologized for yelling. She said don’t worry about it, I understand. The aide did dona godd job. I wish all CNA’S were like the one I just had.

Now I that I’m situated I’m going to read my book America’s Unwritten Constitution The Precedents We Live By by Akhil Reed Amar. I’m still on Chapter 9 I hope to finish it by today I got five more days to finish that book. Then it is Stephen King’s Holly. I can hardly wait.

4:07p.m. I finished reading Chapter 9. Now it’s onward a d and upward to the next chapter. This should be an interesting chapter. I think I can finish it tonight. Then, three more chapters I can finish this book by September 5.  

8:55p.m. I didn’t like supper. I had chicken with Rice. I couldn’t eat it all because it made BB me very bloated. I was too sick to read  Also I had a lot of incontinence episodes I didn’t get changed until a little bit ago. Once again I was a miserable old fart I did have some Mylanta with my evening meds I feel a little better now but I’m not up to par. 

I’m going to try and read now. I still want to finish that chapter.
