Thursday 8/24/23

8:12a.m. I had a weird dreams last night. I dreamt I was wearing a kilt with a woman’s slip underneath it. I was walking around town wearing this stupid kilt and nobody paid any attention to how I was dressed. Other than that oi had a fairly good night. The care left something tone desired. I wasn’t changed until the aide came at 4:30 to get me out of bed. I’m used to lying in urine all night long.  

I was pretty tired so I slept in my wheelchair until they served drinks and breakfast. I had two coffees today!us an OJ and cranberry juice.  Breakfast was good as well.  Coffee and breakfast finally got me up. At least I know I’m above the dirt.

I also talked with Chococolatechip. She was wide awake and raring to go. Chococolatechip talked about moving and her appointments today and tomorrow. As fork moving she was worried that all the help her family promised would fall through. She said what if Elaine and Cleve are down in Tennessee? I tried to tell her she was being manic and overthinking. But she was really worried about the possibility.

Then she went on a out her CMP appointments. She was debating on weather to take a cab or the bus. I said for the cab both ways CMP is off the bus route in an isolated area. It would e safer to take the cab than walk all the way to the hospital for the bus. in the end Chococolatechip agreed. She called and scheduled a cab for 9am Friday. 

 That was the gist of our conversation. Chococolatechip wanted to get started on her housework.imsitting in my wheelchair still trying to stay awake. Part of me wants to read that book. Chapter4 is sixth pages long.If I want to read a chapter a day I better get with it. But I’m still too sleepy and groggy to concentrate. I wish I can get one more coffee. 

6:00p.m. I made it to the Coffee Social  I started to read my book while there. I had a good time getting lost in America’s Unwritten Constitution The Precidents and Principles We Live By. I started reading Chapter 4 which delt with the Warren Court. I also had my share of coffee and chocolate milk. For lunch they served two BBQ pork sandwiches. It wD pretty good and I ate both of them

I made my way back to my room after I ate. I talked briefly with Chococolatechip. She had an a yearly eye exam. She said she got a good report. Best part was she didn’t need to get new glasses. She also talked about going over to the cab stand for breakfast. I’m glad she went out forna change

I spent most of the afternoon reading. I had a good time until I had a painful bm movement. This was around 2:30. I almost had a major meltdown because I couldn’t get help. I sat in urine and feces until 4 . Two male aides came to put me to bed and change my briefs..

I read!y book until supper. Supper was skimpy. I had two chili dogs  I used to make hot dogs in the crockpot. They were excellent if I do say so myself. Ones I had tonight couldn’t begin to come close. But at least I had something to eat. 

Overall except for not getting change   this was good day. I had plenty of coffee and good food. I was not in pain. I didn’t urinate at the Social. Best part was talking to Chococolatechip and reading. Anyway I can spend reading is a good day
