Thursday 10/5/23

3:52p.m. I had a very busy morning. The aide got me up at 4:30. I had a miserable night thanks to nightmares so I slept in my wheelchair. I didn’t get to eat breakfast  At 7 the aides woke me up and said I had an EKG test at Weirton Medical Center. The put me back in bed changed my briefs and took me down to the waiting room. 

I had to wait for the driver to pick me up. He finally came and he helped me into the handicapped van. We drove through Follansbee and Weirton to the WMC. My test wasn’t until none. I was pretty miserable without coffee or breakfast. I slept in my wheelchair until it was time for the test. 

The EKG itself was pretty simple. It didn’t take long at all.They pushed me back to the waiting room By then I was anxious to get home but had to wait for another hour for the driver. He drove me back to the nursing home and I was in my room by eleven

I slept until lunch. I had kielbasa and sauerkraut. I couldn’t eat the sauerkraut. I also couldn’t eat the potatoes. But at least I had my coffee.  I was still tired and slept in my wheelchair until Chococolatechip called.

She had a busy day as well. Chococolatechip had a doctor’s appointment early in the morning. Then she and her daughter Theresa went grocery shopping at Walmart. They also went to the bank. We both had a lot to talk about. We talked until the aides came to change me and put me to bed.

I did not do any reading yet. I’m anxious to find out the ending of Black House. I’m neatr the end of the story. I hope I can finish it tomorrow and start on that John Grisham story. Reading keeps me going and books are my passion. 

6:22p.m. I didn’t eat supper . My stomach was hurting. I was afraid I’d get sick. Beside they served chili with onions. This was way too spicy for me. So I didn’t have much to eat today.

I called Chocolatschip. She was considering going to the ER for bladder pain. We cut our conversation short. She wanted to call them doctor I hope she will be ok. 

Well the day is coming to an end I’ll soon be asleep but first I got to tackle that book. 

8:30p.m. I heard from Chococolatechip. She went to the ER at WMC. She said bladder pain got worse  That was all she said for now
