Thursday 10/26/23

6:05a.m. I’m above the dirt. I had a good night. I slept without stomach or arthritis pain. I received good care. Aide vamek in to change me at least three times. I did not have any weird dreams. I was in my wheelchair by ,5:30 so I got a little extra sleep. Best part feel rested and fully awake.

Chococolatechip called She said she some somebody rang her buzzer w she just got in bed.i said it could of a mistake. She didn’t think so she said Anyway she was up by three and got her work done She also talked about the gift card. She said consider it a Christmas gift. She said she will mail it today by certified mail.

I said to Chococolatechip you and ate one of a kind. You have always been very good to me. I never took you for grante byd. Most women I know would have dumped me the day I went to the nursing home. I said I’m very ,very lucky to have you in my life.Things got mushy and then she had to go.

Today is off to a good start. I could use a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice. They will be serving drinks and breakfast soon I can’t wait.

8:08a.m. I had my coffee and juice I also ate a delicious breakfast. I had French toast. The oatmeal was too funny to eat. Chococolatechip called after I ate I said to her instead of the gift card put that money towards a winter coat from Walmart. She said costs at Walmart are way too expensive Chococolatechip hopes to get a coat at the Urban Mission coat at giveaway Monday. She said she doesn’t. Ind. Then I said I can’t wait to get the $25 Amazon gift card. Ok. I’m a mooch.

I can put the card to good use. I plan on buying two John Grisham novels The Firm and The Exchange: After the Firm. The Exchange is a new Grisham novel that came out this month. It is a sequel to The Firm that I read a long time ago. It won’t hurt to read it again.

10:46a.m. I had a good time at the coffee social. I had a piece of pumpkin pie and a coffee. After my one cup of coffee I made it back to my room. The aides came and promptly changed my briefs. I opted to get back up in my wheelchair Im having a good day so far.
