Sunday 2/25/24

10:47a.m. I’m not having a very good morning. I’ve been very painfully constipated. I didn’t make it to the Coffee Social because I was so sick. I was also afraid of having a bm.  The aides just put me in bed, cleaned me up and changed my briefs. I’m feeling a bit better now but I’m very tired and achy.

I’m having a typical day other than being sick. I was in my wheelchair by 5:00. I was still tired so I slept in my chair until breakfast. I had pancakes and two slices of ham. Breakfast was good but it made me sick. I then talked with Chocolatechip. She was having a good day. She is thinking about going back to Insurance Wireless for a cell phone carrier.  Chocolatechip doesn’t like how Q Link’s customer support. You can never get a live voice. We talked for a little bit then I went to the nurse’s station for some Mylanta.

They will soon be serving lunch. Today it is kielbasa, sauerkraut, fried potatoes, a dinner roll and a peach streusel pie.  This sounds pretty good to me. For dinner it is an open roast beef sandwich,mashed potatoes with gravy, brussel sprouts and a fruit punch. Meals are pretty good here.

I haven’t read on yet. I read two more chapters in Peril by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa last night. I will start on Chapter 8 after lunch. Life is good.

4:19 p.m. I ended up having a shitty afternoon.  I had very painful constipation. Then it hurt like h when it came out. I should not have eaten the sauerkraut. I like it but it just doesn’t like me. I always get sick when I eat it. Consequently, I was one miserable old fart

I haven’t read my book yet. I slept most of the afternoon. When awake I just wasn’t up to reading. I will get to it after supper. Hopefully the food will be good and this time the coffee hot.

6:26p.m. I didn’t eat supper. Lunch made me so sick. It ruined my appetite. I refused to take the tray .I talked to Chocolatechip before she went to bed. She has some business to take care of tomorrow. She is going to the bank and Walmart. We also talked about how she is sick and tired of doing laundry every day. But it has to be done because bed bugs hide in dirty clothes along with everything else. Then there is a rumor that there will be a surprise inspection in March. Chocolatechip said they always have inspection this time of year.

I still feel a bit under the weather. I’m experiencing mild pain in my belly. On a one to ten scale it is a two. Also I’ve been having a lot of bm. These have been very painful. That was why I couldn’t eat supper. I wish someone would shoot me before I eat sauerkraut again. I just can’t help myself when it comes to food.

9:16 I read three chapters in my book tonight. I was just falling asleep when the aides came to give me a nice hot shower and and a shave. I feel a lot better. Now that I’m awake I’m going to try and read. Life is good
