4:34 a.m. I was up most of the night lying in urine Not once didk an aide answer my call light. This really sucks I was just changed a littld while ago. Too be fair the aide was nice. She said there was only two of us working. But still they should of answered my call light.
7:50a.m. I started to read my book The Constitution Today:Timeless Lessons for for the Issues of Our Era by Akhil Reed Amar. I read the first essay. It was about political dynasties in politics. Then I finally fell asleep for awhile. Breakfast and orange juice woke me up.
I talked to Chococolatechip. She said she is going to start charging people for cigarettes. Chococolatechip also said she i so tired of being milked by people in the building. She managed to get through the month without bumming. She pays for a cab to Gumby’s to buy cheap cigars. Everyone in that hellhole gets a check. They ought to use their money to support their own habits. I couldn’t agree more.
In fact Chococolatechip said she will buy three cartons today. She plans on ga!in a cab to Gumby’s and back. This way she will have cigars for the month of August. I said that is good idea. Chococolatechip said she is not telling anyone about this because they will be hounding her for cigarettes.
I had the usual toast and scrambled eggs for breakfast. It wasn’t too bad but the coffee was warm. I drank it anyways because I needed the caffeine fix . I feel pretty with it now I’m ready to s e the world for Democracy.
I’m still in bed though. I’m not sure I’ll be in bed all day or they will get me up later. I guess the world will have to take care of itself.
10:15a.m. I have been reading this morning I started over reading about political dynasties. But I had to stop because the aide came to change my briefs and get me out of bed. I talked with Chococolatechip who got back from Gumby’s She said round trip cab fare was $9.75 which wasn’t bad.
I’m going back to my book
2:54p.m. Chococolatechip j received some bad news. Her sister Elaine was bitten by a tick and got Lyme disease. Elaine has been very sick for about a month. She is being treated for it but the prognosis is good. The same thing happened to my older brother Who died from Lyme disease.
I feel so bad for Chococolatechip and Elaine. I will never forget the times Elaine would come up from Wheeling. The three of us would go shopping then head for Ponderosa. Elaine would always treat me to the buffet and Chocolatschip to a steak dinner. I will never forget her kindness. I’m not much for praying bug she will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight.
Other than this sad news I’m having a good day. I finished reading Chapter 1 of my book. I had a delicious lunch. I just got a nice shower and shave. Then the aides put me in bed.
6:33p.m. I had two turkey sandwiches and a cup of Mandarin oranges for supper. I shouldn’t of eaten a second sandwich because that made me very bloated.I called Chocolatschip after supper. We talked about different subjects until her bedtime at 6:30.
One thing she talked about was another visit She is filled with doctor’s appointments for the first two weeks of August. It looks like she will be free on the 18th or 21st Chococolatechip would like to come down for lunch. I said the best time would be around 11 or 11:30. So the next visit would be at those dates.
We also talked about Elaine. Chococolatechip said she hated to see her alone in that house. Elaine ‘s friend is coming up to help. He is supposed to arrive on Thursday. Chococolatechip also said Elaine always took care of herself. Elaine was a nurse also She just might be able to pull through Chococolatechip said.
I talked about my roommate. He was really acting up yelling and screaming. I said he mentioned my name a few times. I was ?isteninb to my new book and he didn’t like that. I wasn’t playing it loud and the aides said I was ok. So I kept on playing my audible book.i said to Chococolatechip I get tired of trying to accommodate my roommate.
As for my book I’d like to finish Chapter 2. I’ll probably stay up reading tonight. I’m proud of myself. I have a 24 day reading streak I want to break my highest record of 85 days.
