Monday 7/24/23

8:17a.m. I had yet another bad night in the nursing home. I did get a shower and a shave. That was around 8. But I was on my own the rest of the night I didn’t get changed until they got me out of bed at five o’clock. So I was lying in urine most of the night.

I slept in my wheelchair until 6:30. Then I talked with Chococolatechip. She had planned on coming for a visit today. But there was a conflict with her schedule The visit was postponed until Friday. We talked about George. He was supposed to have double knee surgery.we are betting he will not be back. Then she said they took Jen to the hospital. We both wish her well. We do not wish harm pon anyone.

We talked until they served drinks and breakfast. I had French toast and scrambled eggs. It went right through me because I had a very painful bm. I didn’t have a long wait to get changed though. In fact the aide was very nice.

Just got a call from Chocolatschip. It looks like she can come down after all! She said she will see me in the afternoon. This is the best news I had in a very long time. It has been 

years since we saw each other! I cannot wait.

10:27a.m. I have been sleeping in my wheelchair. I called Chocolatschip when I woke up. She will be coming down around noon. Her case manager, Betty Jo is taking her. We hope to have lunch together in the Fiesta Room.

I already made it to the Fiesta Room. I can’t wait for the coffee and donuts. I feel very tired so I can use the caffeine. Life is good.

This is a picture of Chocolatechip. It doesn’t do her justice. Anyway, she came during lunch time. We both had a ham steak, sweet potatoes, mixed veggies, a dinner roll and a piece of chocolate cake.. After lunch we went back tomy room.We had the best time ever talking and laughing She stayed for three hours. Betty Jo was taking her home at three.

I will never forget this day. Chocolatechip was the only one who visited me in three years. Now that het cm can transport her she will be back . The Case Manager said she can take her ever two weeks. I will cherish these visits.

.I had a good time at the Coffee Social. I had three cups of coffee and two slices of pound cake I also had a couple glasses of chocolate milk.The coffee and Chocolatechip worked their magic. I feel rebornand I did not pee myself.  This was a great day indeed
