Friday 8/4/23

4:56a.m. I had a good aide last night. She came in to change me a couple of times. I slept good with no pain or weird dreams. I had a nice aide this morning who cleaned me up got me dressed and into my wheelchair. I’m off to a good start.

I called Chocolatechip. She is in good spirits. She went over her budget. Chocolatechip said a $25 Amazon gift card is in the works. I can definitely get that Stephen King book! I said don’t put yourself short . She said I have all my expenses met plus s $40 bus pass for September I will never forget this!

I have another appointment scheduled. The nursing home is sending me to the Trinity Pain Center in Steubenville. I’m going on September 26 between 12:15 and 1:15. I don’t know about this. As bad as my arthritis pain is I refuse to be put on pain pills. I do not want to end up being a junkie . They might just give me a cortisone shot in the knee. I can take that but definitely no strong pain pills.

7:45a.m. I had pancakes, scrambled eggs and oatmeal for breakfast Also had the all important coffee and orange juice So I’m alive and kicking Life is good!

10:35a.m. I’m having a great morning. I finished reading Chapter 8 in my book The Constitution Today Timeless Lessons for Our Times. Chapter 9 is about George W Bush and the election of 2000. I hope to finish this chapter today and the last chapter Saturday. This makes a thirty day reading streak.

I made it to the Fiesta Room for the Coffee Social. I could use another cup of coffee. I’m going to drink my first cup then hit the books.
