DENIED

It appears that the final word fairy says NO to my request for a 50th birthday celebration in Florida, despite the fact everything has been arranged. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. Not even humor is working.

Tomorrow afternoon I’ll find out when surgery will be scheduled. Somewhere between 49 and 50 I’ll be having my gallbladder removed.

I know that everything happens for a purpose. I just really really don’t want to hear it right now.
(I’ve been giving myself that pep talk for 2 days already)

gd luck with the gall bladder, sounds scarey, i really hope it goes well. ryn; i cant quit really, ive only got a little bit left of school till i go on study leave for exams. if i quit i wont have the basic qualifications tht everyone has. i need them in other words if i want to get anywhere later on in life. take care xx

What a bummer! Florida will still be there are the surgery though and who knows, maybe the plane you would have been on will be hijacked. I guess that’s not much comfort. I’m sorry. 🙁 P. at

Dratted denying fairy. I hope you are able to reschedule something special for you special day. This is a good year to be turning 50. I will be in July. Happy happy 50th when it gets here my friend. I hope you continue to recover nicely.

I had to read back to see what surgery you had. My girls are nurses and they refer to gallbladder surgery as “Bandaid Surgery.” Oh yeah, they have never had it, so what do they know? Right? Glad it is done and you are on the road to recovery.
