It appears that Xmas is on it’s way.  Legally I mean.  I get so disappointed annoyed when I hear Xmas songs on the radio before the turkey has even been roasted.  Is this all brought on commercially, or does the public really want to celebrate Thanksgiving by listening to Bing Crosby singing White Christmas?

My Thanksgiving holiday got a late start, as I worked until 5:00 a.m.  I got up around noon, and spent a couple of hours waking up.  Justin came over about 4, but I had not planned anything as far as a meal goes.  We decided to pick up a couple of turkey dinners from Perkins.  Guess what?  They were closed.  We cruised the strip, looking for dinner.  We  have a lot of eateries here in town.  I was certain that we’d find something.  We did, but certainly not what we expected.  The only place open . . . . Our Thanksgiving dinner consisted of Whoppers and onion rings.  It wasn’t a thrilling meal, but we spent it together and that’s the main thing, right?  Next year has to be better.

Towards evening I became ill.  I ended up with a high fever, achy, and chilled to the bone.  I think I finally got to sleep around 4 a.m.  When I woke up, I felt better, but decided that I should check in at urgent care and see if they could find out what was wrong.  I did have a flu shot, so I was pretty sure that wasn’t what it was.  They took a bunch of tests.  When the blood test came back, it showed my white count had almost doubled.  I can only hope this was due to the sinus infection they determined was the problem, which I now have meds for.  Anyhow, they want me to see my oncologist in a few days to make sure the white count comes down again.

I did feel better yesterday, and decided I needed a change.  With help, I added a rocker-recliner to my living room, and rearranged everything else.  I like it so far, but I’m not sure I’ll keep it that way.  And now I’m wondering where I’m going to put my Xmas tree.  This will certainly be a challenge.

Man, I love Whoppers and onion rings, but next year has definitely got to be better, girl! B, I’m keeping you in my prayers. Take care of your sweet self. Hugs,

I hope the white count was a response to the sinus infection and will be back where it needs to be by the time you see the doctor. I like your little potted pine in the red pot. But, you’re right, Bing should wait till the day after Thanksgiving to sing White Christmas. Take care of you! Love,

Look at it this way….at least you didn’t have to do all that clean-up after the whoppers and onion rings! My poor overtaxed dishwasher!! heh. Hope you are feeling better and your white count is back to norm!

A few years ago I had surgery the day before Thanksgiving & Hubs decided not to do a regular turkey dinner. We both missed it terribly. We won’t forgo the traditional dinner again unless it’s just not available for some reason. I hope you weren’t sick for long. I got a 48 hour stomach bug late Christmas day this year. Fortunately I didn’t get sick til the end of the day, after the festivities.
