Saturday was lots of fun.  The girls and I took a nice drive, did some shopping, (90% off Xmas sale!) and had a nice leisurely meal.  I totally enjoyed the day.  We were 4, and even with a Grand Voyager, we stuffed that thing so full, Xmas decorations were coming out of everywhere.  A couple of the girls bought Xmas trees.  Now where were THEY going to go?  I happened to have a luggage rack on top, but no rope to tie them down.  Being the resourceful ladies that we are, we temporarily stuffed them into the van.  This meant that WE would have to fit in wherever we could for about a mile or so, until we came to a store that sold rope.  I laughed til tears streamed down my face.  Annie ended up stepping into the back, but could not “sit.”   She leaned over as if to moon onlookers (and there were many) but thankfully, she kept her pants on.  I’m so glad I was driving.  *LOL*  Not being able to see out the side or rear windows, the girls navigated me out of the parking lot, and on my way.  What a hoot.  After we got the rope and secured the trees atop the van, there was just enough room for us all to sit comfortably, and we decided that we wouldn’t make that last stop.  Better to have lunch and call it a day.

I’m pleased to say that I got a new monitor.  A 17″ Flat Screen LCD.  Even though it’s 17″ it’s got a much larger viewing radius and the clarity is unbelieveable.  I’m totally impressed.  And also got what I wanted off of my old hard drive.  I took it and my PC into a shop and we transferred at least most of what I wanted to retrieve.  Now I’m happy.

Yesterday morning I was sent a link to view a very cool web page that takes you on a trip into space.  I’m always in awe when I see pictures of other planets, stars, galaxies.  If you’d like to take about a 12-minute ride, try this out:  Spacewander

I also found a site with many pictures.  This is one of my favorites.  The stars are awesome, and it reminded me of a song.  These are the words that comfort me the most…..

I looked up at the stars
To try and find an answer in my life
Something made me smile
Something seemed to ease the pain
Something about the universe and how it’s all connected……

WOW,what a trip!!! Discover magazine featured “Where did everything come from, by famous physicist Alan Guth; (The bottom line is that gravity is NEGATIVE energy {Willy}). It’s about how it all came from absolutely nothing, based on the laws of physics. He ends with a question: “Where do the laws of physics come from”?, followed by:”We are a long ways from being able to answer that one”

No space wandering for me. I guess it’s another webtv limitation. There is a room full of computers at the library that I could use after work. I just don’t feel secure there. ryn: you nut! I’ve got a picture of the Indian ceremony with you dancing around (reverently, of course) while I go up in smoke. Love you, K at
