My mind is preceding my body on vacation by about 10 days or so.
Oddly, even "phoning it in" at work is going exceptionally well. I’ve scored more meetings in the two months at this new job than I did in my entire 2 years in sales at the other job. I even worked things out with old boss-can’t remember if I wrote about that or not, but I’m no longer I’m fear of my non-compete contract.
Today I did a very grown up thing. I attended a city-sponsored Property Tax Appeal workshop, and managed to reduce the value of my home (for tax purposes) by $20k, which I think means will lower my taxes by a few grand next year.I am still or sure what this means for resale value but I think they are separate things. feel free to note if I am wrong.
This weekend was the anniversary of losing my dear old Pops. a year went by so, so fast, and things have changed incredibly since then. Even though the house is behind schedule (though I’m pleased to report that the kitchen is half tiled), I still feel like I have earned the vacation that is just a few sleeps away.
That is all for now. Kay bye.
Has it really been a year?! That was fast. 🙁

I can’t speak for your area but here, the city’s appraisal for property tax purposes has nothing to do with selling, as most lenders require the buyer to get the place appraised by a professional who (theoretically) tells you the real market value. In any case, good job getting yours trimmed!
