Fat and Aggravated

I’ve been trying.  Really, it has been quite hard actually, and it makes me wonder if I am getting old .  I’m going to be 23 in May and I want to be thinner by my birthday.  So, the background is that I’ve been killing myself food-wise lately.  The last 5 days I have been eating this: Slimfast and apple for breakfast, Slimfast and carrots for lunch, salad with carrots, cucumber, and baked chicken (no skin) with light dressing for dinner.  Drink lots of water (at least 64oz/day).  I’d eat up to 2 Luna Bars a day, depending on how hungry I was in between "meals" (if you can even call them that).  Now can someone please tell me how when I weighed myself this morning I have not budged even an ounce?  Nothing.  Nada.  Not even a drip of water weight has fluctuated.  I do an hour and a half of yoga twice a week and I work 8 hours a day where I’m on my feet constantly after attending classes for at least 3 hours, so it’s not like I’m sitting in front on the tv for hours on end.  I’m barely home and I barely get a break.  So again someone please freaking tell me where this weight is that will not budge?  I guess back in the day my weight fluctuated easily.  In high school I starved myself to stay average sized, and for freshman and sophmore year of college I ate once a day to stay average.  Over this past summer I was somewhat careful of what I ate, but not really and I didn’t go up.  Now, I have gone up 15lbs and it won’t move!  I don’t know how nothing can change, not even an ounce when I’ve been eating the way I have.  I mean, come on, how can I not lose anything??  Arg, I have to go, but I hope I conveyed my aggravation.

eating one per day kills you metabolism. im using on screen keyboard [kids + apple juice + keyboard = lame] so typing sucks right now, but try goggling women’s weight loss; you may get some answers to your questions. good luck =]

I agree with the above noter, starving yourself kills your metabolism. Try eating more cals a day and every 2-3 hours.

A lot of times if you eat the same foods over and over your body will get used to it, try to mix it up a bit… Slimfast aint all that great for you healthy wise either- has alot of carbs and sugars- depending which ones your using. Hopefully next weigh in will be better for ya.

Sometimes it just takes a while for results to show. Especially near your “womanly cycle.” I thought I was totally flat lining in my weight loss, but in actuality, it was just a hang up caused by my “curse.” So hang in there! Maybe try adding in some cardio and fiber. Never enough of either :). Good luck! Adrian
