so, the last week has been interesting, to say the least.
we went to milwaukee, saw the twins beat the brewers, got burnt to shit at the open stadium, chowed some "endless" spaghetti, which is ALWAYS a bad idea…and pretty much did nothing on our 2 day vacation.
came home and joe’s band had a show… the 3 openers were pretty bitchin’, the first was joe’s cousin jake’s band… they played only covers, but they were peppy punk, with a twist of something… i liked it, very catchy and easy to chill to.
2nd band is from st. paul… very talented singer… i totally got into it. they played half covers, half originals… and are going to "hook the band up" with shows in (the cities!)…so hopefully they’ll be playing bigger stages and get a following?
3rd band was from iowa? i think? not really sure… they were mostly screaming metal, which i’m not into… but they sounded decent.
joes band played about a million songs. to be conservative. i was tired from riding in a car for 5 hours, and being up at 7am and having family shit on my mind… so i was ready to GO!
got home around 3am.
too old for this shit. hahahaha.
can’t wait till the day i can drink again.

then my mom told me to find a new place to live. so we are.
have been looking at houses in the next town over. found 2 today that we really like, but i’m afraid of what this will bring on with my mom…. i know she was just pissed (and drunk) and didn’t really mean what she said… but i’m a stubborn s.o.b, and i am more than ready to have my own house… not something that she can hold over me whenever she’s pissed.
so.
we’re gonna talk to the bank, and find out what they can offer us for loans (and i hope to god we qualify) and then i’ll talk to my mom
…. we rent from her, and if we move out, she’ll have no extra income, and will have to pay the utilities on the house by herself, which she won’t be able to do… so she’ll have to sell, or find new renters… which *maybe* she’ll be able to do……….
stress’ me out to no end.

people keep bringing us baby stuff… and we have no where to put it. since i’m not starting anything till we find out what the sex is, we have piles of shit sitting in our hallway, waiting to have a home.
and if we move, i’ll just have to start over……..

pictures of the new house… it has a HUGE garage, and then on the top of the garage is a 2nd floor for a "man cave" type area… the old garage is also on the property, behind the new one… storage space, or could be tore down and used as more lawn space…
house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bath… open staircase, fireplace, BEAUTIFUL woodwork (would need to be cleaned.. but other than that, it’s perfect)
heated tile floor in kitchen… newer appliances, WD included…
has a deck and huge fenced in backyard with a swing set… for baby!!!!
the only real "flaws" i guess, are the living room is pretty small… (2nd picture) the bathtub upstairs sits really weird in the room, and the third bedroom is more of an office area… but probably would work for a crib and changing table type room….
other than that stuff, i am pretty positive i love this house.
it has sat on the market for over a year, because the guy selling it wasn’t finished with the updates… so it’s finally done, and ready to live in. the price is pretty decent (144,500) but i’m betting he would go a little lower, since it’s been on the market so long (i guess it started out at 179,000…. and had to go down already.
it also has the option of rent to own… so we could make the payments but not have to deal with the banks bullshit quite so soon… since we have no savings and no money for a down payment.

the other house that i liked was (ironically) my junior year prom date’s old house.
i remember partying in their basement a long time ago.
when we pulled up i thought, god this is familiar. then about a minute later i remembered. der.
nice house, but i’m not really as drawn to it as the first one, it doesnt have the same "charm"….. i don’t know.
i like old houses with old woodwork (grew up in one, live in one now) and all the other houses we looked at today are too new….one was completely TRASHED. fucking nasty mold growing, writing on walls, holes in walls…. nasty! (but cheap………..)
i don’t like the ranch/rambler houses. i like 2/3 story houses. character.
so………in the next coming weeks we shall see.
maybe for my 24th birthday (in two weeks), i can have a house?!
