What I am Greatful For Today
I have a lot to be greatful for, its hard for me to sometimes remeber this because I feel like my brain has been trained to look at the things I dont have and it tries to think that I will never get the things I want or envy from other people. Some of the thoughts are hard to challenge where others are not too bad. I guess the easiest way to get rid of fears and anxiety for me is to notice them, label them, observe them and they seem to melt away, they may come back but than its just doing the same thing again. Reminding myself that those are past fears, things people have told me in the past, critical negative voices.
What really encourages me is to think back into the past of things that I have accomplished, so when I do that I often say yeah I did that but….and thats just an excuse. So I am able to label that observe that and watch it melt away again too.
So here today is the top ten things I am greatful for
1. Having my own private room to sleep in
2. Having food to eat
3. Having a roof over my head
4. Having a very supportive friend (this is one of the biggest ones 🙂 I am very greatful for this
5. I have great supports and therapists to encourage me and support me along the way
6. The gym right across the street from my condo
7. That I am living with people that I know and trust
8. That I am physically in good shape
9. That I have internet access
10. My ipod to listen to my beautiful music
11. My bathtub nice and deep 🙂
thats a bonus one 🙂 these things are kind of generic I know but they are vital to my life life now. 🙂
I should make a list like this. I’ve been so wrapped up in my bitchy mood that I haven’t thanked life for being good to me.
