School picnic

Here comes the school picnic day. Today the weather is very good, sunny outside without rain and the temperature is warm, which is a very good day for picnic.

Arriving at the destination, the children settled down to eat first. They had their mats ready to sit on the grass to enjoy the sunshines and the warm weather. They were having a lot of food sharing with each other.  My students were only P2 and it was funny to see them sitting in gender groups. Boys sat together on a mat and girls sat together on another mat. Although they were so young, they are forming their gender groups, which is very different from the P.1 kids who are still playing with opposite genders. 

But when I looked at the P3 kids, I found something different. There were a girl and a boy sitting on one mat together and the boy was holding up an umbrella for the girl because of the shiny weather. Wow, it was so sweet, like a pair of sweethearts but of course they aren’t. I never imagine boys start to learn to be gentleman when they are so small.

I regreted not to bring along my camera to take pictures with my kids this year as I did for the past few years.  I will remember next year, just want to leave some memories for the lovely kids.
