Tigger and her displaced hip…

So Tigger got to the vet today, and it turns out her hip as not where it should be.  After; what looked like it hurt, she was symmetrical again, and only a slight limp.  Now she is happily doped up on pain medication and seems to have the munchies.  Too bad for her, she needs to lose weight — my fault.  I have been focusing too much on making her eat and giving her more food than she should be eating.  That wasn’t by choice, exactly.  About two months ago she stopped eating all together.  To keep her on the same kidney food I added urgent care food to her pile of gross goop.  She loved it.  But that turns out to be an extra half can a day of food, and it’s high calorie and protein — two things she needs to stay away from.

Now it’s up to me to be mean and limit her food.  Once this can of A/d is done, I’m going to try tuna juice.  It worked with Medhia, and Tigger loves food.  As the vet pointed out, she acts like a dog when it comes to treats.

Tigger is hilarious sometimes.  The vet was trying to get her to walk, and she kept hiding behind the door.  It took a good 10 minutes to get her to walk more than a few steps.  Eventually, I just opened the door to her car, and she ran right in.

Good news is he doesn’t think there is anything wrong with her hips, just had an accident that caused her a lot of pain.

In other news, there isn’t really any.

Lunch tomorrow with My Mom and D.  It looks like June 8th or 9th I’ll be going to see the animals I adopted at Soper Creek.  W and I are looking forward to the photo adventure.  We can get up close and personal with the animals, even pet the porcupine.

Well, that’s it.  Somehow I lost a couple of hours, not sure where the time went off to bed.

So glad to hear you were wrong about Tigger’s condition! From time to time, I always think one of my furries is on her/his last legs, only to find out the vet makes an entirely different diagnosis! The stress we put ourselves on! 🙄

I’m glad the report from the Vet was better than you had thought. That’s always a plus.
