Squirrel invaded my house again

Every day, I’m going to post an updated photo of the pot of wheatgrass I’m growing for Medhea.  Her big pot had to be cut back and is pretty much dead from lack of watering.  This time I built an auto-watering system.  It should help keep the grass lush and delicious.

This morning, I was feeding the squirrels as usual, and suddenly one ran into my house.  I wasn’t sure who it was at first.  Aside from a few who have apparent identifying features, they pretty much all look the same.

The first thing he did the same as the one yesterday;  run to the opposite end of the glass door and leap face first into it.  It’s reasonably funny.

Although this time he decided to run around my main floor for about five minutes.  He got on every shelf, table, climbed in my flower pots.

Once it paused on my dining-room table and started to do his little dance, I knew who it was.  It was dancer, named so because when nervous he does an adorable dance.

After a few more minutes of exploring he ran out the door, turned around and came back for his peanut he dropped.

I was thinking later on how worse that could have been if any of my ex’s or their kids were here.  They would have screamed, panicked and chased it all around the house.  I don’t know why when it want’s out of the house as much as I want it out.  All one has to do is open the door wide and let it find its way out.

That was an eventful start to the day.  Tigger curiously watched it run around but did not attempt to chase Dancer.

Going back to technical issues from yesterday.  I woke up this morning and noticed my server blinking, showing me that one of my hard drives had failed.  This is why planning is so important.  I popped in my extra disc, and off it went repopulating the new drive.   It’s still going.  Then again 120 TB is a lot to sort out.  I have a new one coming on Tuesday just in case this happens again.

Other than that it has been a quiet day here.

I should make a list of rules for OD.

1. Write every day after my evening workout;

2. Spend one hour or finish at 11 p.m., whichever is longer;

3. Limit entries to less than 1,000 words;

4. Try to reply to all notes.

I think those are pretty good.  I’m also searching for interesting topics to write.  I  miss the “Theme of the Day” or was it week, I can’t remember.

I’m afraid I would be like your ex’s and would be having a fit if a rodent was in the house. I agree – the theme thing was fun.

There is nothing wrong with loosing ones fecial matter when a rodent invades your home. There was a time when I would chase them around for hours. In my old age, I realize the game of feline and rodent is useless.

I’m having trouble saving notes. Cute inn squirrel, good on Drive one and daily themes, 👍🏻

Thanks for the thumbs up! 😀

Lol, you really have lots of squirrel adventures, I love it. 😀

Yesss I miss the themes, too! I didn’t always do them, but they were fun inspiration!

Normally I just feed the squirrels and they take their peanut and run. The odd time a few of them will eat right in front of me. That’s about as adventurous as it’s been until those two days. It was back to normal today.

I didn’t do TOW very often either, but they had some great ones. It was more fun to read what people wrote.

A self list of rules for OD. I need to make one as well.

A OD rule list is great for disciplined and writing. It has helped keep me focused, which was a problem with the old OD.
