Replying to entries last night made me cry.

I decided to reply to some of the beautiful notes that were left while I was grieving; I still am, for the loss of Medhia.  It was too soon.  As soon as I started scrolling down the page and seeing picture after picture of her, I got emotional.

Some people left some touching and loving notes – I cried.

Even today, getting out of the shower was strange.  She isn’t there to protect me from the shower monster and lick my calfs dry.

There was news from the Dr today.  All my tests were as perfect as could be for someone of my age.  That made me feel good about all the hard work of the past year.

My financial advisor meeting was terrible.  I stormed out of there like an angry child.

The first thing that really pissed me off was the minuscule 3%  return.  Then they tried to blame it on Trump.  WTF, I live in Canada, and they are supposed to be a financial professional.  In a year that saw some record high markets, to get 3% is terrible.

The other frustrating part was that I have to wait and see if I can give myself more money every month.  They want financial reports done using proper financial software an in six months they will revisit the issue.

Because they thought Trump would crash the markets, they went ultra conservative.  My whole portfolio is messed up.  I’m on the verge of firing them.

My new treadmill is killing me, metaphorically.  My goal is within the next two weeks to get up to walking 1 mile within 45 minutes.  Out in the real world or on an electric treadmill I can do 3 miles an hour for hours.  This is why I opted for the manual treadmill, they are a better workout.

I’m amazed at how many people are still saying the cold weather is caused by global warming.  The best one I’ve heard is the warm air in the artic is what’s causing the cold snap in North America.  Sometimes I wonder if people forgot their grade one science or just lost their common sense.

Based on the conversations I’ve had with some people, that’s very likely a true statement.  Fuck people piss me off.  There are valid reasons why I hate humanity.

The 3% return is ridiculous, and I don’t know much about the stock market, but, NO, that’s not right. “I don’t think it’s right. ” I hope you can get things rectified with them, or perhaps move on to someone else? I suppose that’s another issue? Sorry all this is happening.

You know how I feel about all this @butterfuly4him. 😤

I still mourn over past fur babies. They are family. ((hugs)) I hope you get your finances straightened out.

LOL! Yeah, people make some of the most ridiculous statements. I laugh so hard when I hear some of my co-workers speak.

OMG @sillysillysandee So I found out today that Trump is working with aliens to take over the US in a coup. 🙄

While the 3% return is angering, a lot of people were scared that Trump would crash the market. If they had not been conservative with your money and it did crash, you would have taken big losses and be in the negatives. They were trying to be cautious, but they should have been upfront about that from the start. I would consider firing them too.

You are right @Peter_24601. A lot of people were scared that Trump would crash the markets. But no one should make major portfolio adjustments based on the possibility of Trump crashing the markets. They are supposed to be “experts” for a reason, primarily being not following rumours but using sound and proven financial tools to help forecast.

My frustration is two fold. 1. They are blaming Trump for their not actively trading as in previous years. 2. During the financial crisis of 2008, they got a higher return; 5%.

They also know my philosophy, if the markets go down it’s time to buy more and not sell. Historically markets have always rebounded much higher after a crash.

My personal investments; money I invested myself, rose 38%. With only a few hundred dollars invested, how was I able to out preform professionals who have hundreds of thousands of dollars and “training” and experience?

@axalotal If their concern was legit, they should have informed you prior to taking the actions they did, or the lack thereof. At this point, it does feel like they’re just making excuses, which means you should probably fire them.

All it takes to be good at the markets @WildRose_2 is patience, not panicking when things drop; that’s buying time, and understanding how different world events affect different companies.

There are times to buy and hold and times to buy and sell quickly.

Maybe a visit with new financial advisors would be a good thing to do if nothing else but for curiosity sake.

It truly is hard to love humanity at times.
