People need to see through the distractions

I was thinking of Odyessus after his return home from war.  Twenty years had gone by, and to spy on suiters, he dressed up as a peasant.  While no one recognized him; allowing him to kill all those seeking the affection of his wife.  However, one was able to see through the distraction, the faithful dog Argos. Who despite laying on a dungheap near death, hears his masters voice, perks up and is able to say goodbye.

Even in his old age, Argos was able to see through the distractions and get to the truth.  That is something we as humans have lost, something we need now more than ever. This is not a game, and most people will not like the ending.

I broke my tripod tonight; it wasn’t a great one to start with, so I’m getting a new one before I leave for HH.  In a twist of fate, youtube lead me to realize I can pack just carryons to fly through the airport. #FlyLuggageFly#

I found one on Amazon which I hope will fit in my bag.

Took lost of pictures today, but I don’t feel like sharing tonight.  Perhaps tomorrow, after I learn to shoot handheld macro.  It’s easy on lower f’s, but to get the crips f16 or even better f22 may be out of the question until I get my good lens back from roommate1.

I’ll be anxious to see the pictures you send of the animals.

@dlk082244 I’m getting very excited to take them. I’m considering getting a 500mm prime, with my 2x teleconverter that’s far far away from the subject. I’m wondering if it’s too far.

@axalotal I have no doubt you’ll figure it out just right!

@dlk082244 I settled on a 50mm prime for my everyday and portrait shots. It comes with some extra little goodies I could use.

I cover 15 mm to 300mm that’s a decent range. I’ll just have to get closer to the crocks than I wanted to.
