New laptop and delicious lunch

Wholy crap, my new Dell XPS 15 9570 came today.  It was a total surprise, and I’m glad I was up early, or I would have missed it.  I understand having to sign for stuff, but it can be a hassle — no complaints.

I love love love the laptop.  The screen is impressive; the keys are just right.  The sound is as good as any TV or speaker — the one downside – Windows 10 and the small 500 GB SSD.

Yes, I have barely installed all the programs I need, and I’ve used up 200 GB.  That doesn’t include the photos, videos and other large files I work with.  I didn’t think I would need to upgrade the drive so soon, but I may have to.

I still haven’t installed MS Office, Adobe CC, any games, and I think a few other programs.  I don’t know.  Somehow I erased my sticky note that had my list of things to install.

My mid-2012 MacBook Pro 15 is now relegated to bedroom duty.  It will be where I watch things and write in my diary at night.  That’s pretty much all it will be used for now.  It has served me well — a cushy retirement.

I hate windows 10!

Tigger is doing well today.  She went downstairs.  I followed her down and must have startled her because she tried to run upstairs.  It was quite funny.  She looked like one of those cartoon cats that move their legs really fast but don’t go anywhere.  I felt horrible for her.

When she walks her butt goes a little to the right.

Poor Tigger – I have been teasing her out of her little hideaway to get medication.  She hates it is an understatement.  I suspect she hates the medicine as much as I hate windows 10.

Lunch with M&D was delicious both personally and with food.  We went to One Eye’d Jack’s.  They loved it, and I have now had four good meals there in a row.

Lunch was a massive pile of fajitas.  There was probably enough for two or even three people.  It was insane.

On a slightly sad; but not important note, my time playing Township is now minimal.  I can’t continue on my new laptop because the game isn’t cross-platform compatible.  I levelled up really fast and am in a great co-op.  I don’t want to stop playing, but I also can’t really be competitive in the regatta or help other players as much as I would like.

Tigger didn’t come out of her kitty bed much today, and she wasn’t really interested in her food.  I don’t know if this is just because of the sore hip and pain medication or it’s a deterioration of her liver.

She has no vomiting or any other sign of her liver disease progressing.  She also some brain deterioration, the word escapes me at the moment. It’s not mental; it’s related to physical deterioration.

A few times lately she seems to have this pissed off look.  I’m guessing it’s the pain.  She hasn’t seemed happy the last few days.  I need to stop this.  She had a dislocated hip, of course, she’s in pain and not quite right.

The menu at OEJ is enormous.  I can’t comprehend how they can continue to give large portions and carry so much perishable stock.  They have the best onion rings and fries I have ever had, they are even better than my own.

For whatever reason Grammarly doesn’t work on Synology Note Station, so a lot of my entires look terrible.
It doesn’t help I’m typing with the laptop at a weird angle.

Yea, I think that’s it for today.  More happened but I can’t remember what.
