Still moving in

     We moved into this apartment in mid-November.  It is now the last day of July.  I’m still arranging, rearranging, getting rid of stuff, buying new stuff and sending stuff to the storage locker.

     The last couple of weeks I have been working on the 2nd bedroom/office.  Had a sofa in here that was just unacceptable as a guest bed.  Got the boys over here and the put it in the dining area of the ‘great room’.  Had to move our little dining table to another wall.  It’s a drop-leaf and if we have more people for diner or cards, it had to be moved out into the middle space anyhow.  That works.

     Went shopping at our neighborhood furniture store and picked out a "day bed" with a trundle.  It was delivered yesterday, but the mattress for the trundle was too big to go under the other bed, so back it went.  The other one is fine though, and we don’t really need the second guest bed just now, so we’re good.  Got sheets, pillows, pillow cases and mattress pads at Penney’s.  Ordered a day bed set online:  3 shams, comforter and bed skirt.  Yesterday went to Walmart and got three more cheapie pillows. 

     Today I got it all put together, along with a couple of throw pillows and my teddy bear.  Doesn’t look half bad.  And now I’m ready for one house guest.

     It so happens that we plan a road trip to California in late September and will hopefully be bringing my sister back with us for a month or so.  We really do miss her.
