So it’s Wednesday

Seems we got a break in the weather. Only going to be 90 today instead of 100. Still have hot wind though, and the fire situation is really scary.

After re-checking my calendar, I find plenty going on this week. We were gone when the village newsletter came out and I forgot to transfer the dates onto my regular calendar. Classics & Cocktails Thursday. And of course this is the week for our Fab 50’s potluck. And this is 5 cent hamburger day at "Gunther Toody’s", a 50’s style diner we can walk to from home. I know what we’re doing for diner tonight.

No plans yet for the weekend, but expect the family will think up something for Father’s Day. Dinner at their house would be great.

Need to ask for prayers for a couple of my favorite people who are nervously awaiting news on "lumps." If you could remember D. and K. for me, I’d be grateful.

Prayers for D and K. 5 cent hamburgers?!! Wow! Didn’t know of any business who would do that, even if they make the “big chain” bucks!! 90 is better than 100!!

90 is better than 100. Either is way too hot. My friend waiting to hear about “lumps” found out it was cancer. She’s had it before. Since my father is gone and David is not the father of my children I keep forgetting this is Father’s Day weekend.

I’ve been eyeing the fires from this distance. My SIL’s homes, they own 3 in a row, one they live in, 2 they rent, are 1/2 mile from the Black Forest Fire. Lola’s breeders home is right in the thick of the fire. All of mother nature’s wrath, it is getting hard to comprehend and cope. Sending positive energy to D. & K. for negative test results. So glad you have a fun week ahead.

Prayer sent on those results for the ‘lumps’….so many different things can cause them, and we’ll be praying that whichever one is responsible will be treatable. Hope you find something relaxing to do this weekend. Sounds like you’ve been mighty busy enjoying the activities this week, even with an empty calendar. 🙂 Thinking about all the prayer requests out there…so many inneed. Seems one could make a career of it…. 🙁
