Ben
The mild spring evening only got better when Papa and I joined our family at one of the area’s primo restaurants to celebrate Dusty’s 21st birthday. He had in tow his lovely Hawaiian sweety. The party also included little brother Rusty, Mom and Dad, and Papa and Grandma.
We enjoyed a long lingering dinner which Mike described as "the way dinner out used to be." White linen and good wine. The steaks were melt-in-your-mouth tender and juicy. No body hurrying us for our tablel, since we had a late reservation. We managed to keep the young people there late enough that, after the drive back to Greeley, hopefully those rowdy roomies of his would have got tired of waiting for them and they could avoid the rituals….
Now that he is of age, I’m going to start refering to "Dusty" by his real name. He is Ben. He is one of my favorite two grandsons. He is in his third year at the University of Northern Colorado. He is extreemly good looking and a super-charmer. I love him a ton.
It must be so wonderful to have grandchildren that you can develop a close relationship with…I know my folks are close to all of theirs, including my daughters of course. 🙂 I’m sure Ben is blessed too…

It is so neat to see the adults they are growing to be. Very rewarding. Happy 21st Ben.
