Around the corner.
Spring is less than a week away. We get some of our worst storms in March here on the front range. But the last couple of days have been just gorgeous. I like it.
Nothing on my calendar today, can you believe it? Well, there is a pile of laundry that needs taken care of, but that hardly counts. I hope to get out and take a nice walk along (notice I didn’t say "around") the lake. I absolutely HAVE to get into the habit of walking again. Both my doctors are INSISTING. My cardiologist even gave me a note yesterday saying that I am fit enough to use the exercise room here at the complex. I may have to get a dog that has to be walked. But Papa still says "no dogs allowed."
I have an appointment to get a haircut and perm tomorrow at our own little salon. Boy, will that feel good. I’ll have to walk over to the far building for that.
On my way home from the cardiologist yesterday, I stopped at an upscale strip mall and did a little shopping. My clothes are all getting a little on the shabby side. I’ve also lost 15 or so pounds and the ‘fat’ ones are too big, but the ‘skinny’ ones are still a little tight. I bought a kelly green lacy tank top, a green tiger-stripped bracelet, a fuschia button up shirt and a soft yellow cardigan. Didn’t have time to try on pants, though.
Got home just in time to put the green top on and head over to the club house for Cocktails & Classics. The food was corn beef and cabbage with sides and cupcakes. The wine (or beer or soda) were free. The entertainment was an Irish piper and a mini Riverdance. Little girls from about three years up to maybe 13, and one boy. The girls all had bouncy curls and lovely costumes. And, man, could they dance a jig!! It was fun.
We came home and watched a movie.
Praying for Commonsensechristian and NannyGranny, Tornado, Twik, Sherry, and Sandra of OD and my sister-in-law in Idaho who moved into a nursing home this week. God bless all of you.
…that’s why I adore you. People are people, opinions are opinions, but open minds and consideration seems to be rare, but you have it in spades. We know what we know until someone offers a new perspective worth considering, it may shift our thoughts but our core beliefs are just that. 15 Pounds is a big deal! Hurrah for you. Walking strengthens the heart and pumps the blood. Stay healthy!

Yes, walking is the best and simplist thing you can do to stay alive. I can hardly wait till I can walk to the beach again.

Mom got to see some Irish dancers with the bouncy curls also..followed by a St. Patricks day party. She is enjoying all the activities they provide her. Last night she went to game night… she has perked up quite a bit in the few days she has been there…

Awwww… thank you so very very much for praying for me. I really needed it. They don’t celebrate St.Patrick’s Day in Spain, so no corned beef and cabbage for me this year.
