3 days in a row
I just got back from a stroll along the lake. A chilly wind today and overcast. Pretty much a March day. This is the third day in a row I have got out there and done it. I’m pretty proud of myself. Have finally realized that if I wait for Papa to go with me, I won’t be going. I take my cane along for balance and do pretty darn good. In just these three days it is noticably easier. Lots of traffic on the lake walk today. I about got run down by a bunch of toddlers on bikes with training wheels racing and not really watching where they were going. It’s a jungle out there!! Not to mention the geese who leave calling cards everywhere. Gotta watch in front of you, behind you and underneath your feet all the time.
Got my hair cut real short and permed yesterday. Now I look and feel much more like myself. It’s pretty bad when one gets too lazy to go get a haircut!
We went to church this morning…first time for I don’t know how long. It was good to be there.
I have to think of something to write a story about for my writing group Tuesday. Thinking up what to write about is the hard part. The story needs to have some order and a theme, instead of just blog notes.
Friday night Papa and I joined son Mike, DIL, Rusty and a friend for dinner over in the east part of town at a place called Rock Bottom Brewery. Since it was St. Paddy’s weekend, the place was pretty crowded and we had to wait almost an hour, which was fine. We are such a group. Waited all that time to get into the Brewery and ordered wine with our dinner. The boys had pop of course.
Looking at my calendar for the coming week, I’m pretty tightly booked. I did get the laundry caught up and the housekeeper will be by in the morning, so that’s all cool. I’ve got a lot of projects to catch up on and I’m in the middle of a Sue Collins book. Almost time to do the Fab 50’s newsletter again. And I must find time each day for a walk, a little farther each day. I can do this!

You have such an interesting, happy, and full social schedule. I hope if we retire it can be as good as you and hubby. Very proud of you for taking that walk. You’re putting me to shame. But it is still too hot here – that’s my excuse! You are a wonderful role model!

Your stroll sounds lovely. I’ll be glad when it gets warm every day and I can stroll along our county lake shore. RYN/ Eli’s scream did have kind of a lilt to it!! LOL!

Walking is so good for you. I did more in the past two weeks than I’d done in the past two YEARS!
