Well, what do you know?  I  joined OD plus (paid up!) and just like that I can write.  Sneaky of them, but I guess I like being here enough to pay the price. LOL

This week’s "snowstorm" is just rain.  Yeah!  I can live with that.

Kind of busy around here this week.  Had writing class yesterday.  Then blood pressure clinic.  Then a haircut which I needed desperately.  Then Rusty’s last orchestra concert.  He says he’s not taking music next year.  I’m sorry about that.

Tomorrow I entertain my ladies foursome bridge group and then there is "cocktails and classics" at our clubhouse.  Friday will be Fab 50’s potluck, and I guess Papa and I will help the hosts.  One couple who are supposed to host are unable to due to a family situation and so they called and asked us to  fill in for them.

I never did find my summer shoes.  Guess I must have thrown them out or given them away when we moved.  Black oxfords don’t look too cool with shorts, so guess I need to look for some decent sandals.

We head to Montana the end of next week to take part in granddaughter DJ’s graduation activities.  So far, we are planning to  attend her regional and state track meets, her last vocal concert,  her senior recognition banquet at church and graduation and reception.  Wow.  Am I really up for all that?  We will leave on Friday and be gone until Memorial Day or the day after.  I am anxious to go.  I miss my daughter and her family a lot!  I’d like to be there this week, as daughter has a "landmark" birthday on Friday.  Didn’t think she wanted us there for TWO and a half weeks, though, so never gave it any consideration.

Papa needs my attention now, so I’ll sign off.  But (fingers crossed!) I’ll be back!

Paying may or may not have been the trick. Another one of my faves had the same trouble as you, but was able to write today. Your trip sounds like a good time 🙂

Em, at this new home you’re at are there many widowers? When I read about all your happenings, I really think this would be wonderful kind of place for my very active mom who is 75 but finding that many of her friends are either becoming too old/frail or sadly passing on and she is finding herself feeling more isolated.

Glad to see you back, but it’s not nice if you had to pay to write…. 🙁 Sure sounds like you’re going to need your rest before this trip, but I’m betting you’re going to have a great time while you’re there. Congrats to your granddaughter on such a wonderful accomplishment….you sure have much to be proud of! 🙂

It sounds like you have a very nice trip coming up! Lots of activities in May – I hope the weather co-operates for everyone!

You are going to have a fun trip. And lots of things to do when you get there.

I just love how you refer to your husband as Papa! Sounds like a busy time at your daughters!!! Had our plans gone through we would have been in Upstate NY this week and next. Oh well, we’re hoping for Christmas there now. Wish Rusty would continue with his music. Do you know it’s a proven fact that kids who play an instrument are smarter then those who don’t? Not sure what happened

to me there as I took piano from 2nd grade through 2yrs of college, clarinet from 4th grade through 2yrs of college and was our church organist all through high school. ROTFL. Then I quit college to get married. That doesn’t show too many smarts now does it??? LOL Hugs,M
