One Long Week All For Tomorrow

We’ve had practice every day this week. I’ve practically lived at school this week.

Yesterday was a lot of fun, even tho i was at school til almost 9. Not even for drumline (bummer)  but I went to the pep band game. It was a B game so no Pete. But Priscilla, Leslie and Kari were there. So was Sean and David Z.

It was a little hectic beforehand tho. Okay. So we had concert band rehearsal until 5:30. I had bought the tickets for my dad and his g/f Val that morning and they needed to get them for tomorrow anyways, so I told them, just come out to school and pick me up. I found this armoire (they called a chiffrobe) in the Kmart ad and it’s the one that I’ve been looking for, so we went there to look for it again. We didn’t see where all the furniture was. But my dad asked a lady at the customer service desk and turns out it was in the very back corner of the store. Who the HELL would put it back there? Why not with the rest of the god damn furniture?! Are you trying to confuse me? So we got bought it! (very excited).

It’s about 6:15 hen we get in the truck. We have to go to my house, drop it off and get to school by 6:40 (report time for games). I don’t like being late so when I’m not where I should be and there’s not a whole lotta time left to get there, I freak out. Well, we got to my house and put it in the garage (man was that heavy! it’s like 80 lbs. That’ll be a bitch carrying down stairs) And go back to school. Got there at 6:30. I mean, there was still plenty of time but I was all frantic, you could say. I still had to change into my pep band shirt (which i brought that morning and was in the locker).

Before CB started, we saw that Corey (the really hot guy that helps out with drumline) was there in a practice room with stupid whorey slut Christen. But he’s just soo hot. He was still there after I got back from Kmart. So Priscilla, Nikki and I were looking thru the door at the end of our hallway into the choir room that Corey and the snareline (for WDL) were practicing in. Priscilla is pretending to make out with the window and Nikki and I are laughing and still trying to look at him in this little window when Mr Nelson walks in thru the other door. We just sorta froze and walked away quickly and were like …uh…Hi Mr Nelson… He just happened to be going to the choir room so as soon as the door closed we bust out laughing. I can’t believe he caught us gawking at them. I bet we turned pretty red too. So we moved outta the hallway to the infront of the door and i dunno where Nikki went to but Priscilla and I were talking to s/o and I see Mr Nelson stick his head outta the other door by the band offices saying s/t to Harmon before he left and he looked over at us all weird too. I was thinking Oh crap. He’s gonna see us at practice around Chad and Corey and know what’s up.

Oh well. It was fun. I talked to Pete (the drummer pete) and Steve on the way down to the band room today about the game last night. Steve was playing around on s/o’s alto and it’s sooo funny b/c you can tell he’s a drummer. I told he should really consider playing it. He’s like “Actually, alto was my 2nd choice if i wasn’t gonna play drums.” Pete’s like “Me too. I always thought trumpet looked cool.” and then Steve mentioned how cool it’d be to start jamming like the guys do on the streets in Chicago. I’m like you still could do that. He’s like it’s a little late to learn now. He missed that I was implying drumming in Chicago. I mean, they’re drummers, they can use anything to play on. They did this awesome skit during band camp, they just started playing on a bunch of things and it sounded sooo cool.

Guess what I remembered today! At our concerts, girls have to wear all black but the guys in symphonic band and Concert Band have to wear the marching uniforms without the sequin sash and the cords and all the “ornamental stuff” and the guys in Wind Ensemble have to wear these blue tux things. Pete’s in WE, meaning he’ll have to wear one. He’s gonna look soooooo adorable! I can’t wait to see him! Just seeing him makes me wanna smile! I’m going to Priscilla’s house after school tomorrow so she can do my hair for it. So I can look at least halfway decent. I sorta can’t wait for the concert. I just wanna see him all dressed up. Damn! and I have no film or cameras left. I wonder if I can take the digital…hmm…
