Poetry: Compulsive thoughts
A human awakens to catch compulsive thoughts all day
Not giving in to all compulsive thoughts that creep in the mind daily is a war to be won each day
Cruel thoughts start to creep into one’s own mind
Jumping out of bed to start the day is beginning the war
Running to the restroom to begin the daily morning ritual is wining the first war of the day
Putting on clothes and shoes is a victorious second battle won
Breaking the nights’ daily fast with sustainable nutrition is winning a third war
Turning to a daily ritual for the soul beats the cruel thoughts upon awakening thereby wining a fourth war
A Fifth war is won with daily exercise to distract humans of their vicious thoughts
Lunch time upon midday brings a victorious end to the day’s sixth war
Stopping in the late afternoon to breathe deeply and take a necessary break is the day’s seventh war won
Beginning the nightly meal referred to as dinner is today’s eighth win
Preparing for the nightly ritual is the day’s ninth victorious war
Hopping into bed at the end of a long war against compulsive thoughts brings the victor to victory
Compulsive thoughts no longer creep into the sleeping mind
