what really matters
it seems to me on many days i have complained of this and that
and when i did this
surely i have missed the point of life entirely.
today in the early morning my daughter in law called and said," Don’t worry we are all OK."
this alone is enough to tell you something is not right
they had a fire in the house last night
they are all unhurt.
they are all unhurt.
their pets are unhurt
really
truely
they have not suffered loss
things
even precious things
are only that
and can be replaced
people cannot
i am truely blessed
truely
and i am greatful.
Peace to all of you who read this.
may you be as richly blessed as i……………….

What a scary thing for you to hear early in the morning and how frightening it must have been for them to go through that AND what a blessing that they – and their pets – survivied unhurt. I add my thanks to yours. Many blessings to you in this holiday season and in the coming new year. Take care.

I saw your note in Mitzie’s diary and was drawn (by your unusual name) to your diary. You are so right about what really counts! So glad your loved ones were not hurt.
