up the coast septembers dream

 on a late summer day

 before the worlds end

before the planes crashed

into buildings and ground

we drove in peace and innocence

on a two lane oregon road

headed north and searching for

 summer trips dream

a roadside stand with baskets full

 of sweet red cherries

 begging to be eaten

so we could spit the seeds into the wind

and laugh in the unchanged world

that only days away

would have no planes

to slice the sky

that was before

and for those who remember

 before we lost our freedoms

 to unwinnable wars

and fear

 it was there all along

just we did not yet know

i shall not forget

 spitting seeds and laughters ring

and innocence

and lombard streets twisty way

down to the bay

and innocence

driving up the mountain

remembering seeds we spit from the windows

and laughters ring

beautiful seattle

beautiful mountain

and innocence

If I had any musical ability, I would love to set your words to music. Alas, all I can do is manipulate color where you manipulate words and emotions. Very beautiful indeed.
