timing is everything

I have watched someone I love struggle for years with life and living often finding themselves at the mercy of others because doing what needed done came so hard to this person. They have worked harder and more hours than any two people but had difficulty taking care of their own needs and desires. At long last they have turned a corner and I am sure they are never going back to being a doormat for others. The change is both a relief and a magnificent thing to see. Just to see someone develop into the person they have always had the potential to be is a gift in itself, and now I see other things in this persons life suddenly coming together when there have been times none would have believed it was possible.

When I was young like everyone else that age I thought we should get what we want when we want it and that life was often unfair. With time and perspective I see things in a different light. We get things when we are ready if we have allowed God into our lives. If we get them too soon they end up being either damaged, destroyed or cast away as we move along. Being ready for what we desire is key. Timing is everything.
