september’s end

september’s end

comes with the cusp of autum

just around the bend

far up in the north

the leaves begin the change

signaling their final dance

the dance may end in snow

cold or rain or wind

or fluttering softly, slowly to the ground

but like all life

 it is a new begining

for last years leaves

and from the many years before

become the richer soil

bringing forth abundance in the spring

let my life be

like the autum leaves

 full of color and dancing

singing happily in the breeze

as the winter sun

sitting lower to the ground

makes the colors ring much richer

 than the summers hottest dream

my song

Lovely, as always. And ryn: thank you. My church is going to be delving more into the realm of Gregorian Chant in the coming year, so I suspect our choir will be needing a classically trained leader to help. That will be my best chance at improving my diction, methinks.
