desires of the heart

i have heard people ask for their deepest desire

some folks ask for things

 but now and then

someone really asks

from the heart

 

 the other day i asked this one

" how is your husband now"

"better since the stroke,

too far away, thanks for asking"

then came the jewel

"what i really want"

she said

"is to have him for for a meal,

with the family,

our special time"

this is a thing worth hoping for

and waiting for

and praying for

 it is my prayer for all of them

that this be answered
