End of Winter Break

So it’s almost the end of my last college winter break. I’ve actually been pretty productive. I have to take Organic chemistry II this upcoming semester, so I’ve spen the break going over my notes, chapter by chapter to re-acquaint myself to the material. I’m only taking 14 credits this semester, since I only need these 14 credits to graduate. Plus I’m trying to keep my schedule as least hectic as possible since I am taking organic chemistry. I have 8:30 classes three days a week, which sucks, but I have Wednesdays and Fridays off, which is nice.

Speaking of school, I got accepted to my first choice PA school three days after I had my interview. It was a conditional accepatnce though; I have to "successfully complete additional science courses in order to increase my science GPA." Meaning: taking biochemistry and anatomy and physiology over the summer. At first I was really upset, but my mom calmed me down (as usual) and made me realize it wasn’t so bad. I mean, Touro College could’ve flat-out rejected me.

Off of school…I visited Tanya Lee yesterday at her new condo that she and her boyfriend just bought. I have to admit, it was REALLY nice. I’m definitely envious; Tanya graduated when she was 21, lived at home for 3 years, banked everything, and now at 24, she actually owns a condo. If I were any good at math, I would’ve become an accountant like her. I mean, PAs make good money, but I’ll maybe be where Tanya is now when I’m 26 or so. Anyway, so we hung out for a couple of hours, catching up on gossip and cleaning. It was good to see her. During my last semester of sophomore year when Tanya and I lived together, I didn’t see too much of her because she was busy studying for her CPA exam. It’ll be nice to come hom in the spring and be so close to her, since she now lives about ten minutes from me.

Today was really crummy, and I’ve been totally amotivated to do anything productive. I mean, studying organic is bad enough but to study it when it’s gray and drizzling outside is downright depressing. I am going into NYC on Monday though, no matter what the weather is like. Becca and I were talking last night and are now planning to visit John in the city for a lunch date. Mama said Jake can come too, so I’m pretty psyched. I love being with my siblings…I love that when I come home in the spring, Becca’s about 30 minutes from me and John is a two-hour train ride away.

Anyway….I’ll probably waste some more time before going back to organic chem…how people do chemistry for a living is beyond me….
