Bears like trail mix, apparently

So there was a family in Los Angeles county last night that had a bear force its way into their house when they let their cat in. They hid upstairs, called for help, etc. The family and the bear are fine. Their kitchen sounds pretty trashed. The woman said the bear ate their cat’s food, got flour all over everything, ate a bunch of prunes, and some other things. The bear eventually wandered out and moved back up the hill (it’s in an area where bears frequently come down the hill to snack on fruits and swim in pools and whatever).

The woman whose house was invaded mentioned in an interview that the bear ate a huge container of trail mix. I find it utterly hilarious that a bear ate all the trail mix.

Maybe don’t bring trail mix out hiking.
