Dream Log Relay

Dreams starts abruptly, with a car smashing into me. All goes dark. I awake in purgatory, which consists of a camp style cabin, and a long wrap around porch, over an abyss of fire. Many other souls there. I get a lot of flack for being the new guy in purgatory. Nobody really likes me. There are activities and tests and such that determine the purgatory hierarchy. Being resented by all, nobody offers me any assistance, so I am therefore stuck on the bottom wrung. I am allowed no smoke breaks. Big fat kid teases me, threatens to hit me with a big metal oxygen tank. I get angry, take it from him, hit him with it over the head. Nozzle breaks, tank goes flying. Blows large portion of the porch up somehow. I run to the edge and look down at the flames, feeling guilty. Everybody’s pissed. I beg for a smoke, and get no mercy. I sit near the edge of the broken planks and wonder if purgatory after death is any better than nothing after death. I wake up.

End of the world nightmare. Starts in a derelict building. Many rooms, high ceilings, many doorways – no doors. Bright light from far away renders current room very dim. Trash and old dirty clothing are littered about. People around, in a panic. Something terrible, now forgotten, is happening in the world. I find my mother, she’s also in an upset panic. We find my brother Matt, he’s laying dead in the ruined and looted isle of a shopping center. I wish I was dreaming… in fact, in my dream, I run certain tests to see if I’m dreaming, and they all come up negative. I awake in another dream, alone, in a well furnished home with a feeling of sad comfort. I pull the blinds on the large window to reveal vast night time countryside, filled with nothing but dark trees and a few red lights far off in the distance. Upon awaking there, I realize that all that had happened in my dream concerning the terrible end of the world affairs was real…like that realization you get moments after waking up, when just the night before something terrible and heavy and real was on your mind. I open the door to step out on to the balcolny, and am attacked by a giant barking dog. As I’m being tackled and chomped on, I wake up for real.
